These were the worst books of the year for me and some might surprise you, drop your least favorite books of the year in the comments.

1. The Divine Comedy (Part Three; Paradiso) by Dante Alighieri – While I loved Inferno and Purgatorio, this was a major let down for me, but it was still worth the read.

2. Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson – Honestly when I heard this book was about magical libraries I was expecting so much more so this fell a little flat for me.

3. A Shiver of Snow and Sky by Lisa Lueddecke – Honestly I don’t know what I can say about this book other than it was just confusing.

4. Carry On (Simon Snow #1) by Rainbow Rowell – Honestly this book was horrid. The audiobook narrator was terrible so I DFN’d it about 6 chapters in, I then tried to read it again physically and hated the writing style. Hated it.

5. Going Over by Beth Kephart – For a novel that is about a teen couple living on opposite sides of the Berlin Wall I was expecting a bit more action for this.

6. Final Draft by Riley Redgate – I read Seven Ways We Lie and loved it and I loved Notewrothy too but this was a massive disappointment because the previous two books were so good.

7. In an Absent Dream (Wayward Children #4) by Seanan McGuire – Now even though I gave this book 4 stars it is on my worst books of the year because compared to the other books in the Wayward Children series this entry was boring and really let down the series. Another issue I had was that it didn’t follow any of the characters we had come to love but instead follow a really plain background character.
